Easter 2014 Events in Louisville

Us at Family Realty are starting a new addition to our everyday blog.  With the beautiful Spring and Summer weather upon us, we know everyone is itching to get outside and enjoy fun Louisville events, whether they are family-friendly or just for adults!  So, every Thursday, I will post a blog including multiple events in Louisville occurring that upcoming weekend.  Today, I will start with Easter events!

April 19, 2014, 11:45am: Easter Parade on Frankfort Avenue.  The parade will travel from Stilz to Haldeman Avenue and is a free family-friendly event.  It includes floats, featuring Shriners, Hwang's Martial Arts and The Bubble Truck, plenty of free candy and an appearance by the Easter Bunny! Awards will be given for the most creative float and the most outrageous Easter bonnet.  

April 19, 2014, 10am-2pm: Eggstravaganza at the Louisville Zoo.  This event involves an egg hunt where the eggs are redeemed for prizes, an appearance by the Easter Bunny, and learning about egg-laying animals.

April 19, 2014, 12-2pm: Helicopter Easter Egg Drop.  At River Valley Christian Church, 12650 W US Hwy 42, Prospect, KY, the Easter Bunny will drop thousands of eggs from the sky creating a fun twist to the traditional egg hunt! Includes candy, prizes, games, inflatables and food for purchase. This event is for all ages through 5th grade.

April 19, 2014, 2-4pm: Jeffersonville's Helicopter Egg Drop.  Another egg hunt where candy and toy filled eggs drop out of the sky!  This event is located at Vissing Park, is free and is for ages 10 & under.  Also enjoy inflatables, games and a visit with the Easter Bunny.

April 20, 2014, 1-3pm: Easter Brunch Cruise on Belle of LouisvilleJoin the historic steamboat Belle of Louisville as she starts off her cruising season on the Ohio River. The Easter Bunny and other fun activies for children are included.

April20, 2014, 3pm: Annual Giant Easter Egg Hunt at Joe Huber's Family Farm and Restaurant.  Along with the giant egg hunt starting at 3pm, there will also be an appearance by the Easter Bunny.  Make reservations for the dining room or buffet at 923-5255.

The Galt House and Rivue will be hosting Easter brunch from 10am-3pm
