The history of Cresent Hill goes back to 1970 with the orginal road that became the Louisivlle-Lexington Turnpike in 1817. You may be more fimilar with the road name now, Frankfort Avenue! In 1853 a 39 acres fairground was built and hosted state and national expoistions for 20 years. In 1855 the St. Joseph's Orphanage relocated to Cresent Hill on the old fairgrounds.
Cresent Hill is located east of downtown Louisville and offiers amazing historic homes and many modern apartment communities. Frankfort Avenue runs right through the neighborhood which provides the community with top notch local restuarants, bars, coffee shops, botiques, and galleries.
