Kingsley was formed in 1924 by C.C. Hieatt after he bought 46 acres off Taylorsville Road as an extension of Strathmoor. The Home Rule City has 176 single-family residents and around 380 residents according to the 2010 census. You will fine colonial, cape cod and other styles of home with decent lots and mature trees. Since 2003, Kingsley has been recognized by the Nation Arbor Day Foundation through the Kentucky Department of Forestry as a Tree City USA. It is also close to Bowman Field which holds many community events and Seneca Park, a large public park with many walking paths, picnic areas, and a golf course.
